I take their stories, old and known,
And make them into my own.
What if they loved? What if they fought?
I write the things the books did not.

I keep their hearts, I keep their name,
But change the rules, it's not the same.
I write of dreams, of joy, and pain,
And bring their world to life again.

No need for fame, no need for cheer,
I write because I hold them dear.
In every word, my love shines through,
For stories old and stories new.
