Navin Dev is a screenwriter and film director based in London, U.K. 'Prince Ara of the Sky' is his first novel.
Navin's films have been screened and awarded at several international film festivals including the BAFTA qualifying London Short Film Festival, Portabello Film Festival, and Sci-Fi London.
Empire magazine columnist Kim Newman described his first feature film, the arthouse gothic film 'Red Kingdom Rising' (2014), as 'a nicely dense, imagistic feel and a grasp of the nightmarish... A study of cracked psyche using the tropes of scary children stories..'
Flickering Myth described the film as 'an eerie and imaginative dark fantasy dreamscape with a visual style reminiscent of directors such as Tim Burton and Guillermo Del Toro.'
His second feature film, the sci-fi thriller 'Zoo-Head' (2019) premiered at the Sci-Fi London Film Festival in 2019 and screened on Hulu and iTunes in the U.S.
