Author's Note: About the Rewrite + Reader Age Change
Hey everyone
So if you're an OG reader from when I first posted this story back in 2021 (yikes, right?), I wanted to give you a quick update on what’s going on and why things are changing.
️ What’s Happening?
I’m officially doing a full rewrite of A Mother's Love. This is NOT just a grammar clean-up. I’m rebuilding the story from the ground up—new structure, deeper characters, better pacing, and most importantly… an upgrade to the reader's age.
✨ Why I'm Changing the Reader from a Child to 18:
Back in the day, the story involved a “child reader” dynamic which, yeah, I now realize can be easily misinterpreted even if my intentions were completely innocent. Wattpad has changed a lot since then, and honestly… so have I.
I want this story to be something I’m proud of—and that means respecting the boundaries of what’s appropriate and safe to post here. Changing the reader to an 18-year-old allows me to keep the emotional intensity, the psychological horror, and the obsessive yandere dynamic without crossing any lines.
It also gives the story more freedom to explore deeper themes like emotional manipulation, autonomy, and twisted love—without the risk of it being flagged or misunderstood.
