@SiennaLewis Will do, Sienna! Thanks for that direction. It depends on what you're interested in reading. I have two slow burns, both are myth retellings. One is historical fiction with very subtle magical elements, the other is a contemporary fiction with more humour and magic. Give the summaries a read and choose what suits!

I’ve just finished Water and Sand and wanted to say how much I enjoyed it!
You’ve really put together an engaging piece of escapist writing that takes the reader somewhere else. I’m going to miss my regular trips to Naples!
If you ever expand or develop it more, let me know - I’d be happy to give you my thoughts.
I think there’s more there if you did want to expand it for the Wattys. I think you could connect your take on the mythology even more strongly over a longer format if you wanted.
Anyway, I hope you are enjoying the achievement of finishing it in novella form. Best of luck with ONC!!

I'm honoured and glad it transported you somewhere familiar for a little while (ps I'm jealous re: the regular trips to Naples). Someone said, elsewhere, that they wanted to see if the story had a Percy Jackson vibe, so your comment really encourages me to think about flushing the myth out more in the next part.
