You can never reach Him. You will always fall short. And that's exactly why He already reached out, sending Himself in the form of His Son, leaving Himself in the form of His Spirit. He fulfills your short-comings. He makes Holy your unholyness. He continues being the perfect Dad even when you were the worst daughter or son.
No amount of bad in you could ever push away the infinite Goodness that He is. No amount of sin can overcome his Holiness. Give him your emptiness so He can fill it up. Give him your dirtiness so He can clean you up.
Because from Him all things came and to Him all things will return. He is the Beginning and the End. He is your priority. Remember that everything else is optional, except for Him. Because to Him everything else is optional, except for You. Even Himself.
And that is why He died on a cross. That is what He is. He is Love.
