Something really hits differently when a new year starts after a tragedy.
You realize that a person who was so important in your life isn't going to be around anymore. It's the first year you won't have them by your side. A time you always thought they'd be there for. But they just weren't.
But in a way, I know that I have two really special new person in my life. And who knows... Maybe they'll be able to somewhat fill that hole.
