The dull pang in my heart aches ever so slightly.
My heart that thuds in my chest almost too painfully is rattling my ribcage and jumps to my throat.
My breath now stuck in my throat suffocates me endlessly as I try to force the lump back down.
I can't breathe.
These lips that you kissed are now chapped and quivering.
The eyes that used to look at you longingly from afar are now watery and closed to look away.
My skin still tingles where you touched and my cheeks are sticky and wet.
I want to run far away but my feet are rooted on the spot.
I feel like tugging my hair, scratching my scalp until I bleed and screaming out until my voice becomes hoarse and scratchy.
Ah, the pain.
The pain of a bittersweet unrequited love.
I am but a coward after all.
