I'm 14. Poetry is my favorite thing to write because I can really express my emotions and how I'm feeling all in just one short little piece. I can tell a story, fictional or real, and I can just describe a scene. I can make up the rules. I can write a haiku about the bayou. Or I can write a freeform about my brain storm. Anything goes when I write my poetry. Poetry is a powerful tool. Use it to get through your life. Write it just to survive.
