Weekly Check-in and Announcements: 
          
          I'm excited to state that all 25 participants of TEGSA 2026 have moved on to Round Two!  
          
          Their next step is to get the first five prompt chapters up by midnight Toronto time on August 31st—that's four weeks to write four chapters. Please tag me so I know I can read it. The quicker this gets done, the faster I can move you to the next round. 
          
          Those who have stories needing edits or do not reach the five chapters within the deadline will stay within Round Two status and not move forward. If this happens to you, know that your entry will not be removed unless you are disqualified.  (It's pretty hard to do that, honestly. It would have to break Wattpad guidelines or something equally terrible.)  
          
          I will be checking weekly to see who has reached the goal, but it's easier (and faster) if you tag me. 
          
          Good luck to all of the writers and to the readers---enjoy the new material based on some fabulous 80s music!

TEGSA 2026 is now closed for new entries! 
          
          This year we have 25 participants, two of whom have already finished their stories! 
          
          The first five prompt chapters are now due by the last day in August.  
          
          I will spend the weekend going over the first prompts and moving you all over to Round Two. Good luck!

@OfficialTEGSA It feels like only yesterday that I was obsessing over the prompt choices for this year… time really does fly! Good luck everyone! I already can’t wait for the awards- and I’m only halfway through my prompts! Rest assured, I’ll be enjoying every minute between now and then though. Have fun everybody!
