Who is Daniel?
Well, when I (Aliyah) was in 6th form, I started writing Upper Six, but I went to Immaculate Conception High, and I didn't want anyone to make the connection that I was writing an LGBT story which is set at a school similar to theirs. They're a Catholic high school in Jamaica, and they aren't exactly fond of sexuality. I didn't want them to censor my voice, though. So I came up with my alter ego/alternative persona, whatever you want to call it: Daniel. She (yes, she is female, despite the spelling) is kinda like what Sasha Fierce was to Beyonce', or what Roman is to Nicki Minaj. I don't always use 'Daniel' when I write. Maybe it sounds insane to everyone else, but I know what I'm talking about so whatever.
