@demystify Oh man! I haven't been on in a while but I sure missed this conversation hahah
But hey, that works too! I mean, the cartoons, Smallville, anything TV related when it comes to DC hasn't been too far off. Sure they have their own twists and takes on it but they are all based on something from the comics. Again, I can't say I've read every single DC comic that was published but I've read a few of the heroes (and villains) that I've liked. Wiki is also a great help in refreshing and introducing characters from the DC Universe lol
You know? That could be part of it hahah
As for Grant Gustin being Barry Allen/the Flash... I actually think it was a good choice. After all, he just got his abilities and just started being a hero to Central City. He is definitely boyish as he hasn't really been hit too hard with any of the metahumans. I'm sure you remember how he acted once he and Arrow teamed up in the two parter episode. He was so immature when compared to Arrow that it was so easy that he really does have a lot to learn. The Flash as we know him is so experienced in everything, knows what to do, how to use his powers, ect. but he has always been a bit of a smartass and, of course, always late (; Grant, in my honest opinion, is doing such a fantastic job with portraying someone who has this sort of "innocence" to being a hero that it will be amazing and interesting to see the development that he will have as he moves along with figuring out the rest of his abilities as well as maturing in his way and becoming the Flash as we all know him to be.
And ohmygosh!!! It was amazing! Ollie definitely proved why he was the more experienced hero/vigilante as he fought against Flash but Barry's use of his abilities was just as amazing. I just wished that at the end of the next episode when they met up after for their second fight without anything clouding their judgement, they showed us their match of who would have won xD
