Middle-aged Australian man, married with two adult children. I hold a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Literature and Writing, and a Bachelor of Environmental Science. I've had exactly one poem professionally published.

I've been writing for thirty years now, ever since I read H. G. Wells' The Time Machine and decided I wasn't happy with Weena's fate. Since those humble origins, I've written well over two million words (at least), almost all of it novels. The majority of this is fantasy, though I have written one complete SF novel and I'm 130K words into a "soap opera" about the lives and times of a nation of people who live in a very isolated community.

I've reached the point in my writing life where I'm ready to make a career out of it. After a thirty year apprenticeship, I think I'm good and ready, and without any bragging, I think I do have what it takes to compete for people's entertainment time and money.
