So far, I've written manuscripts for 2 novels.   "The Shoebox Letters" overview:

Is a story about Is there such thing as routine open-heart surgery?  Not when the surgeon is your spouse.

But before the procedure takes place, Sherrie Donovan gives her adult children an envelope and insists they wait at her house where they read through a stack of recently discovered old letters.  The letters lead to flashbacks that take them through the joys, temptations, and tears that their parents experienced during World War II.  They learn the emotional details of their parents’ courtship and find that time doesn’t heal all wounds when old scars are reopened during the war.

During World War II, Dan and Sherrie break up the night he plans to propose to her.  But they agree to write to each other.  The next day, he is sent to Europe to serve as a combat medic.

While Dan’s away, DJ Tommy Baker steps in to play.  Meanwhile, Dan meets an engaging nurse on the other side of the ocean who’s in love with being in love.  And when he inadvertently saves the life of Tommy Baker’s dim-witted brother, he makes a friend who’s determined to return the favor.

"UNPLANNED CONNECTIONS" is about a man, Ron, who wants to die to be reunited with his family who was killed in an auto accident.  But when he presses his gun against his head and pulls the trigger, it misfires and leaves him unscathed.  Determined to end it in a manner that can’t miss, he drives to the local airport where his small Cessna is kept.  Diving the plane into a small lake from five thousand feet can’t fail.

But while pulling his plane out of the hanger, he meets a friendly stranger who convinces him to give the man a lift to the next airport.  Ron reluctantly agrees, not knowing that his life is about to irrevocably change.  Throughout the story, he meets people who help him, or who he inadvertently helps - until he finally meets the driver of the truck that killed his family.

It is similar to "The Walk" series by Evans.
