I write about things that make me laugh. I write things I'd like to read if other people had written them. I write about things I know, things I've actually done or been around and involved in. I was Chairman of the Washington Theatre Group which gave me a chance to 'persuade' the group to perform some of the plays I'd written. When they were well recieved by audiences it spurred me on to write more. My first play 'Cinderella and the Pantomime Thief' was published by Lazybee Scripts in 2005.

After getting several stage-plays under my belt I turned my hand to non-fiction, drawing on my experience as a Complaints Manager for the now sadly defunct MFI (which may or may not have had something to do with the amount of money I gave to customers to pacify their complaints) for my book 'I want to complain : an alternative guide to customer service' which was featured on BBC Radio 4's Susan Calman feature 'The Art of Complaining' in December 2011.

I'm grateful to each and every person who buys and reads one of my books. The positive feedback I recieve makes every 3am 'must-get-this-chapter-finished' session and 9th Mocha of the day worth while.

I've just completed a musical stage-play based on the paintings of Alexander Millar with the working title 'The Working Man', and I'm currently writing a 'humorous' novel which is as yet untitled but has a lot to do with Monopoly, Whitley Bay Caravan Park and the paranormal.

I am an Edgar Allan Poe fanatic and I would love to have been Ben Elton (without the 80's glasses).

Thanks for stopping by.
