NATIONAL WRITING MONTH IN THE BAG!

We nailed it for November people! Finishing with a solid 52k words, I took home the trophy for nanowrimo. My applause to any of you who've also participated or even wrote something this month.

          	We are writers after all

Cheers from your Writing Phase, loves

@Phase19 Congratulations on your expectancy, honey! I'm sure you guys are thrilled!! Man, but don't know how a good workout can stimulate that inner writer. You must have been a beast during those times because I've read your writing with greedy delight!

As soon as I complete the edits, I'll be sure to send you the manuscript. I'd just love any criticism and feedback from you to make it better.

Hiiii!!! *Wave* I do remember that book idea! Sweet, and congrats again. I’d love to read it. I can listen to word documents with my phone and the office 365 app if you’re willing to share it that way. I’d be able to read it faster that way!

As far as the Pelaton writing goes, maybe I will email you a picture! Though I’m almost halfway through my pregnancy and won’t actually be on the bone in the pic, you’d still get an idea of what it’s like. Man, it is very exhilarating! I finished my workout and sat on the nearby couch and kept writing most days. Because the pedaling just gets my mind whirling! I wrote my ONC that way, and my last NaNoWriMo last November that way as well. I need to remember to ask my doctor how long I need to wait before I can start riding my bike again after baby comes!

Hey guys!

What are your favourite pets? And what gets you going when you're getting ready to write?

          Coffee?

@Phase19 I did enjoy Thanksgiving. My hubby’s family mostly came to town. Christmas will be an off year this year, which means more time for us to just be at home. We have this thing called polar express where I live, where this old tourist attraction 1880 train becomes the train to the North Pole. We got tickets to go with our little boy, who is five, and he will probably remember it. I’m looking forward to that a lot! Plus, we get to attend his very first Christmas program next week. And I am having an ultrasound and Will get to see my baby next week too. Lots to look forward to! I get to have my birthday off work this year and winter break is really long! My mother in law is going to paint a mural in the baby’s room. Then we can set up the nursery over the break. We’re going To get a bunch of blue balloons to put in the nursery, and let our boy go into the nursery when it’s done to find out he’s going to have a little brother. It’s going to be great! I can’t wait to have that video to keep forever and watch whenever I want.

@Phase19 I hope you have a nice winter time too. I know you don’t really celebrate in a traditional way, but you still do things to enjoy the winter time right? What’s it like where you are in the winter? Does It get rainy or…?

@Phase19 we told Copley just this week that his grandma painted the murals in his room, and he had no idea where they had come from. I thought he already knew for some reason. LOL I need to tell him to thank his grandma for painting in his room before he was born. He’s seeing her Saturday.

NaNoWriMo Month, People!!

Sooo, how many of you have signed up for next month's National Writer's Month?

           I have!

And this is my very first time, too. I only learned about it two years ago from my good friend, A.C. Sutliff/@acsutliff and since I had nothing to work on at the time, at least nothing that would run into 50k words, I never participated.

          Everything's changed in 2024, though!

I'm really excited and thought I'd share. If any of you are interested, just visit NaNoWriMo.com and sign up. It's easy, and anyone can join!

It's a good means to push yourself. I'm already over 25k words into my latest novel and I started at the beginning of this month. Not too shabby if I say so myself. But I'll have to push harder next month to reach 50,000 words.

          We'll see how that goes...

          Anyway, think about it, guys.

@Phase19 So where are you up to with your nano totals now? I lost count yesterday due to a migraine but I’ll figure tonight. It’s probably halfway through the 50. But much slower going as the notes accumulate over days… and series resolution book 10… So lots to tie together! My goodness… Editing this is going to be fun! ☄️✨

@WezleyBrookz So you're doing nano too? That's great! I'm more than half way through since I've been writing everyday. Only about 12k more words to go I think. I'll check again later today. Congratulations on your own progress, love! You are nailing it and I love the energy and excitement you're experiencing! Looking forward to editing too!

Quick Question: What do you guys expect to feel while reading a new book? And what do you usually look for before you decide something's worth reading?

BacktoPages

@Phase19
            1. It's easier for me to say what I don't like to feel and it's anything cliche/cringey. Every other emotion a book can evoke is great for me (excitement, curiosity, intrigue, sadness, anger, etc) especially when I feel like I'm about to reach the emotional peak of a chapter and then I'm left with a cliffhanger lol.
            2. I look for intriguing characters and that does not include the toxic billionaire or the naive waitress. I love it when books center around one or two characters but there are many secondary characters that have their own minor arcs throughout the book, not the ones that show up randomly for the sake of one small scene and then are forgotten for a few chapters.
            Hope this makes sense!

Hey Phase! I posted more of my book that you were reading. This seems like the best way to let you know... And I figured I would let you know since I left you on a huge cliff hanger. I hope you enjoy it! Thanks for your support.
