Sadly, I am not the 14 year old that wrote Where Destinies Lie, and Can I Change Fate. I've grown up, I've got life experience I wish I never had, I've got a lovely cocktail of mental illnesses that don't play well together. My taste in reading is still the same, with some additions. My style of writing has matured and gotten a lot darker. I'd love to still be the writer I was years ago, and even as I re-read my old stories I think to myself "wow, that was good. How did I come up with that?" But then I think about something I read on Pinterest "you don't remember who you were before the trauma because it shaped you into who you are now" I don't let it define me, but it definitely shaped me. Some of it good, most of it not. But I do seriously thank the people who did encourage me when I was younger, because those people are the ones who remind me of who I was when I was an energetic, imaginative, fangirling mess of a kid. The reasons I started writing and got as far as I have. Thank you to all of you, I hope I can be that person for you all again at least on here. And I love the nostalgia of seeing your profiles and the stories of your's that grabbed my interest, those old masterpieces that I'll re-read start to finish every time. I do have a cat of my own, a diluted tortoiseshell named Shiba, that me and the hubby raised like a Warrior. We taught her to use her claws, how to hunt, how to mess up any animal and person she didn't like. Where other cat owners would get mad at the scratching and biting, we praised and encouraged her. She's everything a warrior cats fan would be proud of.
