BL SCAVENGER

I'm 21 year old black woman who loves to use my creativity and imagination to write. I lost my inspiration once though, and stumbling upon Boy's love anime universally known as yaoi helped spark it again. It was different than the mainstream, predictable anime I was use to. And kinda surprising since the countries that produce anime are known for being homophobic. BL sparked my passion to write not because of a fetish but because it's very hard for men to be vulnerable. It's even more harder for men in a society that treats them like they have no feelings and that they shouldn't be attracted to men and seeing someone overcome these obstacles and be with the person they love is a beautiful thing. Also, it's a widely ignored genre, even girl's love anime/manga is getting more appreciation. That's why I mainly just write BL and if your here for anything else, sorry. And dear guys, straight and gay and other, I can't deny some girls do treat this like a fetish. But us sane ones, enjoy it more than mainstream romances because we're not putting ourselves in the girl's shoes. Basically comparing our love lives or partners to the girl's unrealistic one, all of us have or are still doing that subconsciously. Even though we know, everything on tv is unrealistic. Still we end up wishing to be the girl in the said anime/manga without rooting for her. There's a  very few hetero romances I have watched that I was actually were rooting for the couple instead of trying to live vicariously through them. So yea, also I'm tired of people calling everything yaoi. Yaoi can be romantic but focuses on the sexual aspects of the romance more, while Shounen-ai is the fluff. Smut is just sex. That's the end of my ted talk lol. Anyway, I'm bisexual and taken, I love writing and food, music, and learning new things. But mostly staying at home and when I'm not home, I'm always working.
