Good evening, I just posted the first fifteen pieces of my poetry collection and would absolutely love to be considered for your Free Verse reading list. How do I go about submitting my work? Thank you in advance.

A piece from his collection of works "The Waters Edge" - This idyllic, nature-centered love song celebrates the beauty of the natural world and the simple joys of shared experiences

@Poetry the Noble Prize in Literature is such an honour to those who've received it. Literature is the soul in this body we call life. What are we without it?

Hello Aesthetes!
          Welcome to October.
Starting off this month with a double activity! Guess the Poet & a prompt

          Guess the Poet:
"Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
          And summer’s lease hath all too short a date;
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimm’d;"

          Prompt:
Write a scene painting a picture of when you noticed you're in love.
Optional: Try writing the prompt in style of a ballad

Massive shoutout to our community and everyone who participated in The Shorty's 2024!

            Guess the Poet: William Shakespeare
Prompt: I started to paint a picture of a friend. I looked at them very close and saw how beautiful they looked on the outside. That’s when I started getting feelings about them.

The feelings I feel I cannot control..
The feelings unwanted yet they take their toll.
            Who am I when I’m with you .. I don’t not know?
They say love is like Heaven… beautiful and bright..
Yet my mind is left to wonder if this seems right..?

The Shortys have come
          The Shortys did go,
          With just one goal
          To write it all

          The poets did write,
          With lines of words,
          Stories were told
          They won't go unheard

It was fun and we'd wish to stay
But don't worry, you'll see us another day.

To you all we show our gratitude
But now It's time to conclude
          The first of many
When we appear again we hope you'll be ready

So hold on dear writer for weeks to come
You'll hear from us soon when we conclude
          The Shortys have ended
          It has been splendid
