⨝ Ponniyin selvan is a legendary novel written by Kalki Krishnamurthy in the 1950's. 

⨝ It falls under the genre of historical fiction and narrates about the events took place in south-India Chozha dynasty in 960 AD.  

⨝ The title Ponniyin Selvan refers to the great Chola king Raja Raja Chozha ( Arulmozhi Varman)

⨝ The original novel is written in Tamil, but translated versions are available too. 

⨝ This book is a great recommendation as it improves your historical knowledge and a great vocabulary builder.
