OK, I've sort of worked out what to do here. First, all the 2019 stories about 2025 have to go. We can't wind up with two Princesses, one in 2025 and one in 2047: 1st it will cause brand chaos and fan confusion; 2nd people will be going "Hey, it's 2025. Everybody doesn't have a solar-electric car and most people can't afford a Tesla. We've still got airplanes. Nobody has a World Bank account, etc etc And the President is certainly NOT Kat Hemingway. This is bullshit!" When worlds collide, the author of one looks like an idiot. 
          
          So, I am going to replace most of the existing stories. I can't write about the Princess in the novel that I hope to publish, but I can write new stories, not in the novel, that introduces the Princess and gives her backstory. 
          
          I hope the result is a new crop of stories that you enjoy reading! Please help me get there with your comments - favourable and unfavourable.

          Is anybody still out there?
          
          If so, please make some noise on these conversations!
          
          It is funny to look at my "last message" 3 years ago. First, I was right about Omicron! It didn't kill many people but gave all of us a big dose of natural immunity (I had it 3 times in early 2022!) that pulled us out of the COVID crisis.
          
          Second, to make a long story short: the novel manuscript that I thought was almost finished in 2022 . . . took 3 long years to rewrite and finalise! Now there is a finished manuscript and I have it with Beta readers before I send it to publishers and agents. So maybe you will see it in bookshops soon. I will keep you posted.
          
          The novel is totally different from the one I was working on in 2022 and from the Wattpad stories. The only thing I think has not changed are the things you loved about the Princess - her moxy, her courage, her determination, her intelligence, her talent. She still, at age 9, refuses to be a child!
          
          One change I can tease for you. The book is no longer set in 2025: we spec fic writers about the "near future" are vulnerable to the future catching up with us and that is exactly what happened!
          
          So, I had to use some writers' extraordinary powers and move the Princess' year of birth to 2038. Most of the novel now takes place in 2047, still in her 9th year.
          
          One thing I cannot do is start sticking Chapters from the novel up on Wattpad. If I do that, no publisher will touch my book with a barge pole and there goes my brilliant career!
          
          Still, I am going to try to spend more time here on wattpad. The Princess and I owe a great deal to wattpad. You lot kept me writing and gave me courage. For the Princess, wattpad was the "playing fields of Eton", where she flexed her character muscles and developed her unique persona and voice. We could never forget you, even if we wanted to!

Happy 2022 everyone!
          
          As I said last year, hope next year is better than this horrible one!
          
          Some things are better: most economies have recovered and most people are out of constant lockdowns but we've been slipping back as too many Governments overreact to Omicron.
          
          Here's a shocker: so long as you're vaccinated, Omicron won't kill you or even put you in hospital in most cases but it will give you a healthy dose of natural immunity. So relax!
          
          I'm a little embarrassed to admit that I am still doing what I announced I was working on back in August: the New Little Princess final manuscript (so big it may turn into a novel and 2 sequels!) and a New Little Princess website (so difficult and time-consuming because I haven't got a clue about computers).
          
          When that is done, as Gen MacArthur told the Philippines in 1942, "I shall return!"

Hello! I am back in wattpad na ka. 

No, I'm not dead yet, nor is the Princess . . . 
          
          For those of you who did not notice that, as the Filipinos say, we were "mag-aaAWOL", carry on sleeping. Sorry to disturb  . . . 
          
          We were doing two things:
          
          (1) writing and rewriting the final version of The New Little Princess manuscript to be submitted for publication soon and also "Princess' Apocrypha", a collection of Princessstories including some first published here on Wattpad.
          
          (2) Trying in vain to set up a Princess "platform", meaning throwing Princessstories around on many sites, mostly unread, then deciding to concentrate on building up a Princess website, which is proceeding slowly on Wix.
          
          But mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa, I should not have deserted sites like Wattpad where the Princess has some followers!
          
          We are not quite ready to come back with both feet but have updated our followings now and will put new followers' books in the Treasure Box, as well as carrying on putting all major Princesssongs into the Princessy Songbook.
          
          As for now, the NLP says "Hey, cock!" (which has no sexual connotation in Manchester, where she comes from!) and I say "G'day!" to everyone. If you write on my  Conversations I'll try to reply.
