A Puerto Rican woman born and raised in Springfield, MA. First generation into college. After graduating from the underperforming public school system in Springfield she went on to Williams College, one of the most prestigious private colleges in the nation. At Williams Ms. Rodriguez obtained a bachelors degree in American and Latino Studies. She then returned home and attended Springfield College and graduated with her Masters in Social Work. 

Ms. Rodriguez began her career at the Department of Children and Families as a child protective social worker at the age of 22. In her role, she focuses on achieving culturally sensitive practices and advocacy for children of color in the foster care system.

A renowned local motivational speaker, visionary and lecturer at Western New England University, Ms. Rodriguez takes pride in guiding others towards an inclusive and diverse approach in the field of human services.

The worldview Ms. Rodriguez disseminates is focused on human kindness, fairness, opportunity and most of all continuous education. By engaging and collaborating with her community, her aim is to dismantle the systemic injustices that exist against people of color.

A girl turned woman while raised in one of the most crime ridden cities in the U.S. Ms. Rodriguez uses poetry, short stories and reflections to enthrall you in her life journey and invites you to share in her visions and dreams of living in a world where everyone is humanized and dignified.
