I find it cringe worthy to see that there are some authors of stories out there that threaten readers to stop writing negative comments on their chapters. I don't specifically provide an exact definition of what a critique is and it should be but I observed that there are some authors who misinterpret the term. As much as I can remember, a critique is where someone is pointing the good and negative elements in your work. It doesn't have to be intense where you push the author to the wall but it's a professional way of putting comments on your work. Whether someone will dispute on me regarding professionalism, let's just move on to a more important topic. Probably, you already saw someone stating the pitfalls of your work. Chin up, princess because it doesn't mean that this person is shoving your work on your face on how badly written it was. Basically, it all goes back to sensitivity and how to handle criticism. I can't even deny how much criticism improved my work and how I argued with some critics out there but it's to the author's discretion to still take the criticism. You're not compelled to follow someone's criticism and take it deep in your heart but at least learn to accept mistakes in a professional and diplomatic way.
