Mark was born in England sometime in the 1960s on an interesting date which he doesn’t always choose to share.  A Geography graduate, for some years he taught Geography, Economics, and other Humanities subjects in a number of UK secondary schools. 
He is politically motivated and has served as a borough and county councillor campaigning on a range of issues including housing, disability rights, health, education and the causes/effects of poverty.  Mark frequently contributes to political discussions on social media and in local and national campaigns; he maintains strong political views although he insists that his fiction doesn’t always draw from his experiences in the political arena. 
He began writing fiction some years ago.  His first book, Quick, Quick, Slow 
(ISBN: 978-1-4836-3244-5 or Ebook: 978-1-4836-3245-2) was published in 2013. His second With Nothing Guranteed will be available in November 2014.

Married, he has lived in Cumbria for the last decade – his interests include following cricket, local history and genealogy.
