Okay, working on a new chapter of Limbus and something new, unrelated to Project Moon.

Holy cow, man, I just read Dante's Divine Comedy. The first detail when Ellios goes down to Hell—if what's in the book matches up, then at the beginning of the chapter, Ellios is in the Violent layer, Circle 1. According to what's described, if that's accurate, then my hypothesis is: when Dante from the past was crossing the river with Nexus, he accidentally found Ellios's flesh among the countless piles of corpses thrown out into the Backstreets. Dante from the past proactively fished Ellios's body out and linked his own soul with Ellios (since past Dante has a very high chance of being a high-ranking member of The Head, this wouldn't be difficult at all). So I think that when Giovanni says Ellios is just "hitching a ride" via Ryoshu's chain, he's wrong—in fact, Ellios's connection with Dante is so tight that it made Giovanni mistake it for Ellios just hitching a ride on Ryoshu's chain.
          
          Another interesting detail I found when rereading your fanfic: in the Divine Comedy, the heavier the sins, the deeper one sinks in the Violent layer. But Ellios is on the surface. This means that although Ellios's sins still send him to Hell, because he used violence to protect others, he hasn't sunk too deep. Moreover, when Ellios escapes from Hell, the centaurs—who are the guardians of Hell—only shoot at non-vital areas like his thighs and torso, and almost never aim for his weak spots. This means they were turning a blind eye to let Ellios leave while still pretending to attack him for the sake of procedure.
