Ashwin retires from all forms of int'l cricket and this makes me feel so miserable right now.

Could he not have had a better last home series than that historic whitewash vs New Zealand? Could he not have had a better last match than whatever on earth that last match was? Could he not have had a guard of honour on his last test? Why in the middle of this series? No retirement has pissed me off and made me feel as bad as this one.

The batting's been atrocious, the two senior most guys are...I don't even know what they're doing with their swinging wide outside off stump to the third ball of their innings. As if the way we're playing wasn't annoying enough, Ash had to announce his retirement this way. I sound like a selfish ass, probably, but come on man. I wanted to see you get a well deserved farewell at least. You hugging Virat and Rohit in that whole emotional situation was not what I needed this series. Idk.

Going Down Under without Pujji and Jinks was already heartbreaking. I want to watch Pujji's defence on the pitch, not in the goddamn studio where he takes a how to bat in test matches masterclass. Please. And Ash now? While I'd love to see him in the broadcasting scene whenever he wishes, I'd much rather want him to play one last match in this sport, in which he's a legend.

I know this was inevitable. I'm going to scream now tho. I'm going to miss his 2729644 fifers and Player Of The Match and Player Of The Series awards and his ability to scare the shit out of some incredible batters by just keeping them in complete, constant uncertainty, and his beautiful test centuries with Siraj celebrating more than him. Oh god. Couldn't you have just had a farewell match, Ash?

Swarnaprabha987_

@Ramayana_lover exactly! And India dominated in home tests for 12 years because Ashwin was there! Virat Kohli ko ek successful and legendary test captain banane me Ashwin has a very important role! He's one of the main reasons for India's dominance in home tests for so many years! Abhi Adelaide test me bhi it was Ashwin who made Head play that wrong shot, vo to humare Dsp Siraj se thodi galti ho gyi Varna Ashwin almost got Head's wicket too! He's seriously a genius bro! Shayad hi Indian cricket team me is time unke jaisa smart play koi karta ho!

A whitewash at home was the last thing he deserved! I still feel he should have had a better farewell match :(

@Swarnaprabha987_ absolutely yaaaar. Ash has been monumental in every series we have won. He contributes brilliantly in all ways. He is of the same calibre as the best spinners our country has had, but he can bat better than each of them. The number of variations he has, nobody does. He's such a smart mind, always coming up with new ways to get people out, critically analysing every move of the batters. So incredibly skilled. As you said, B'desh series jaisa kuch toh hona chahiye tha kam se kam. But most of our best players haven't ever got a farewell, which is very sad. I hope we can see ashwin back in the coaching set up for the national teams of India and/or in broadcasting and commentating, because his cricketing wisdom is so valuable. It must be shared, either with the next gen of all Indian players, men and women, and maybe at some point with the spectators and fans who truly care about the sport too :')

@Ramayana_lover same pinch bhai! I haven't watched this much of cricket to feel and cherish every moment of Ashwin Anna but whatever I've seen over a year, I can say that what Bumrah does in overseas tests, Ashwin has been doing the same in home tests with the ball, plus giving his best with his batting too! In this BGT, we are almost totally dependent on Bumrah, home tests me bhi hum Ash-Jaddu par hi dependent hote hai! I really feel that Ashwin should have at least a better farewell match! Some farewell series like India vs Bangladesh test series, where he took a fifer, scored a century at number 8, was the player of the match and player of the series as well!

I don't know but I really feel sad about it.... Bhai jisne ek saal pehle cricket dekhna shuru kiya use itna bura lag raha hai to unhe kitna bura lag raha hoga jo kaafi time se cricket dekh rahe hai..... Will miss Ashwin Anna in tests, especially in our home tests! Happy Retirement Legend! ❤️

Shubha Deepavali everyone! Let's light our homes and towns and cities up for the ones who light up the universe! For our dearesttt angry-bird, the guy who's always right about everything, our favourite, most loving Lakshu, for our most compassionate, loving, adorable Sita, for the draamebaaz yet incredibly innocent, patient, loving, super valiant, and just completely enchanting Rama! Welcome home!
(And our cutest Anjaneya of course)

[Also updated a chapter after ages, which is very random, but have some Rama-Laksh fun in Satataharitam! :')]

Couldn't write anything this time and that's kinda sad but it is what it is. Hopefully there will be a belated Janmashtami gift for the cutie in the form of a chapter sometime soon, from me :')

Have fun celebrating him when he comes to your house guys!

-velvete-

Yoo! I'm literally in love with the Kamakshi Amba Swarapallavi. It's freaking beautiful. The way the gamakas come in . It's amazing

-velvete-

@Ramayana_lover Ah yes! Sometimes, while learning a new Varnam/ song is quite a challenge, I always go like, 'Am I doing it right? Is it worth?' but then, when you complete the ENTIRE song, it's the best feeling EVER.

@-Velvete- oh Bhairavi is one DELIGHTFUL challenge. I've also been in a pretty kharaharapriya zone lately so everything I heard sounded like kharaharapriya (including part of bhairavi because the basic swaras are similar) and then I played the Da and my heart went ✨BHAIRAVI✨
XD was pretty hilarious but also a lot of fun. The Pa and Da gamakas, and sangatis with Ni Da Pa in avarohana are LOVE

A chapter, titled "Ekantam (2)" (yes, Ekantam, again, different topic) is up in Satataharitam. Ramayana (specifically Rama, Lakshmana, Angst) themed.

          Hope you enjoy!

I thought this final was going to bring more heartbreak but now many of us are probably drowning in tears of elation with the way that match went.

Surya's catch. That catch. Jasprit and Arshdeep coming in for their overs and getting the wickets perfectly. Hardik's last over. So much happened. Look at all that.

Virat's batting. Akshar's ability to build that partnership there. And Rohit with the way he captained this team.

Not just this match but the whole tournament. It was quite crazy, wasn't it?

The most special moment, though, has to be that hug of Rohit and Virat, this time in victory. Undefeated the whole campaign, wonderful cricketing moments throughout, but it's these moments of crazy emotions that mean the most.

I have to absolutely HAVE to talk about South Africa's incredible campaign too. They were brilliant throughout as well. The two most deserving finalists and even today, both teams were so close to the cup. Well played by us but also very very well played by SA. Everything about this is just absolutely crazy.

(And now Virat says he has played his last t20i. Absolute madness I'm sorry)

Hello. Thank you for what you said earlier. Yes, I saw it, but I didn't know what to say. But thank you anyway. You're the one person I told, because I trust you. And thank you. Sorry I'm bad at articulation. Thank you a lot. I don't know if I'll be here for a while, because interactions are annoying now.
