🤍 A Little Message For My Kitties
Hi everyone! I posted a new piece about Smiley, and I really want you to read this one personally. Please read it carefully, because this isn't just another story for me. Some parts came from things I've felt myself, and I have a feeling some of you might relate too.
Please remember: you are enough. You don't have to be a perfect kiddo or prove your worth to your parents, family, friends, or the world. Learn to love yourself, even on the days when nobody else seems to understand you.
I've experienced feeling neglected, being bullied, losing people I trusted, and feeling unheard when I tried to speak about things that hurt me. Some of those feelings have stayed with me for years, and that's why Smiley's story became so personal to me. While writing him, I kept thinking about the little kid who just wants someone to say, “I'm here. You're safe. You didn't do anything wrong. You are enough.”
So, if you're a parent, sibling, friend, or simply someone a younger person trusts, please listen to them. Sometimes children don't say they're hurting—they simply become quiet.
And if you're going through something similar, even if you think it's “too small” to talk about, you can always come to me. You can DM me, comment, or simply read this silently. I may not be able to fix things in real life, but I can listen. You don't have to pretend you're okay with me. 🤍
You are enough.
You are worthy.
You don't have to be perfect to deserve love.
Take care of yourselves, my kitties. I hope you have a beautiful week ahead. 🫶🏻🤍
Love you. Bye-bye! 🐾
