See, that's the point! Magic feels so off because we experience the story mostly through Gigi or Sr.'s eyes, and they're not magical. Jr. got his powers because he's Isleen's son and if you remember Isleen came from a very old and fallen country. Magic is dying and no longer as relevant as it was before because science and technology are taking over.

There are a few things I am confused about like for example the whereabouts of Junior's powers and how does majical elements tie in with the book, especially the time period it was listed in, however as you update more and I read along I hope you would clarify all confusions.
