I just entered Gettysburg Address © into the American Songwriters International Lyric Contest.
See if so can add a prize as a lyric to my Poetry and Historical Fiction wins in the Amby's 2025 including the Grand Favourite prize.
Fingers Crossed
But the judges are mostly female so not sure if that is in my favour or not. Depending on their attitude to war, the Civil War and the emotional damage war can bring.
We shall see.
But I'm cautiously optimistic but not getting any strong intuition that I did with the Amby's.

@RobertLHarpur Hi gorgeous! Yeah I've been missing in action for a long time now. I didn't realise how being a full time carer for someone you love for 25 years . . . How much it drains your energy, both physical and emotional. But I'm back and am reaching out in my new social life which you probably guessed from my Facebook I've always related to women much more than men. This has been both a blessing and a curse. But on Wattpad It was a blessing to meet you, Sarah, Adrielle, Anna and of course Coati in Guatemala and many others even a man or two like Joe in Canada. I am going to reach out more and try and re-establish those connections here for those still here and on Discord and even Facebook Messenger. I really miss the interactions and phone calls we had as part of the Book Club. How ironic and prophetic that Adrielle had called us the Banned Authors/Writers Book Club! Haha Don't worry I've noticed how you've been killing it. Nanowatt star and all. How prolific a writer you've Love you become. So, so proud of you. Love you Rob

Finally a bit of good news for me after an horrific four weeks.
I did indeed win my third Amby's Award in consecutive years
Gettysburg Address © not only won in Poetry but unexpectedly took out the Grand Favourite prize in Historical Fiction as well. Maybe you should take a look. Maybe I'm a better writer than I thought.

Sadly my wife passed on Sunday 18th January after a life impacted by MS for 52 years the last 25 in an electric wheelchair. She was the strongest person I've ever known and loved. She was a record breaker even in adversity. The family and friends held a celebration of her amazing life which you are welcome to view. Shine on Darling in Heaven as you did here on Earth. We miss you. ❤️

@RobertLHarpur Don't know why I never got your notices until now, Rob, and I am truly saddened to hear of your loss. I know only too well huge shift in one's personal reality that event can cause. Also the news of your successes came late, and I missed sending the deserved congratulations. I had my own upheaval with a move after 20 years and it took a long time to achieve. Still getting settled. Occupied my free time with the ONC2026 challenge - it is the right place for me. One day I will get back to your book. I think I've read different parts a few times, never consecutively. Anyway, please accept my belated condolences and wish for your peace of mind and well being. Joe
