Born of nomadic blood, raised in an old Texas cotton field, Boy Scout, started practicing photography when he got his first camera at 11 years old, started writing on a Big Cheif Tablet in kindergarten, been regularly camping & fishing way before that, started driving at 12, got stuck the first time at 12, shot his first quail at 12 (it was a busy year), moved to the city at 15, nearly got his first ticket at 15 (in his International Scout 2), graduated high school at 18, started college and seminary at 18, bought the first house and married at 19.

Worked with teenagers for 15 years, started a substance abuse education and prevention program way up in the Rocky Mountains, was a teacher, a carpenter, an electrician, a resort photographer, owner of a photography studio, traveled 45 US States, a dozen National Parks (did you know there are 428 of them?) 15 countries, countless state parks, had 3 strokes, and more important he's a DAD!
