I have always enjoyed writing. Growing up, I was always making up stories and creating movies in my head. After years of trying, I finally completed a story.
I have published a book entitled The War: The fight for humanity, which I have entered into this year's Watty Awards. Interesting fact: I wrote the entire 107,000-word novel on my iPhone.
Growing up a Navy brat in Hawaii, I was essentially raised in the Military; it had always been a defining part of my family. My own service, especially my experiences in basic training, had inspired me to write " The War."
For me, the best part of writing is learning things about yourself through your writing. In my stories, I have been able to express myself in ways that I never knew I could. I will always be grateful to Wattpad for giving me a place to fully explore my imagination.
I completely fell in love with my characters. They are all like my children; sometimes, they seem almost as real to me as my own real-life children. I firmly believe that, as a writer, if you don't commit to your stories, no one will.
I'm most grateful for my wife and two sons. They genuinely get me and all my weirdness. They had always been my real inspiration in everything I had done in my life.
