I LOVE this site!  I work in the veterinary field and enjoy most stories involving animals- but not limited to. I may become irate if I read a story with a male cat that is calico- its happened, lets all make sure it doesn't happen again.  I am American but I love reading stories by people from other countries- especially when they make them happen in the US and still use their local vernacular- it makes me laugh (really hard!)  I am a stickler for continuity and will point it out when it is lacking.  I liken it to lying when it is done blatenly and without remorse.  I am prone to rare but occasional smart a$$ comments. I apologize now and ask that you ignore them (or you could join in and we can all take things a little less seriously!)  I am an adult but I enjoy YA as well as stories "appropriate" for my age. I'm sure that there is a therapist out there that would love to delve in to that one. I consider it research for when my son is a teenager. God help me.  FanFic- Hate it!. Not only does it limit its relevancy it also takes away from the readers ability to use their imagination and "truly" get lost in a story.  Just my opinion, of course. I am a busy woman but I find time to read (like in line at the grocery store.)  I wish all the best to the brave writers out there, I know its not always easy.
