♡ welcome to the nunnery ♡
My name is Ruby, fourteen and I live in the middle of nowhere near a small village that doesn't have a bus stop in Norfolk. I go to boarding school and I like to set fire to things when I can.
I have about five people I could say I was really close to, my parents, my mum's parents and this boy who is older than me.
I hate English but I was feeling incredibly sad one night and decided to type it all down. So far, I'm basically just spilling out all of my feelings onto the internet with the occasional adjective.
My favourite books are Submarine, Perks of being a Wallflower, The Bell Jar and the Harry Potters. I live by the rule that the book must always be better than the film because "Ask a TV (movie in this case) watcher what he watched last night and he won't remember. Ask a book reader what they read and they'll be able to tell you all about it." I think it's a quote but I'm not sure. People who go to the effort of enjoying to read over a fortnight or so deserve to have something better than what they could idly consume in two hours.
My music playlists changes as often as I come home. But my favourite playlist is my "bath time" one on spotify. But the one on my tumblr is pretty rad too.
I like nice films like (500) days of summer, Ruby Sparks, and such things.
I'm not really sure about what to do with my life because I've missed three of my 1-2-1 career sessions. I'd like to be Fearne Cotton though.
My life is made up of such important people and the media has such a big influence on me and other young girls. I'd like to have other girls and boys look up to me and aspire to brilliant and powerful and pretty without pressure of what is perfect. I want to matter to someone. Just at least one person, because that would mean more than the world. To be able to help someone to make the right decision or give them hope is better than any other level of success.
I would carry on, but I'm running out of letter which is just silly.
