On a more serious note though, I just wanted to take a moment and address the Army Public School suicide case. If you don't know, a student of class 10 who was from a simple constable's family hanged himself supposedly because his school, (APS Shankar Vihaar) was not providing him with the admit card needed to enter BOARD examination center.
My mother who teaches in another branch of APS was horrified by the news. She told me how constables and people from lower posts are often horribly mistreated by the higher ranked people. Its a shame how people fail to understand that formalities are for help, not for straining the already stressed out students even more.
Plus, another thing that is important is that nothing is more important than one's mental health. To stress the students about exams is alright, but to pressurize them so much that they see no life after these petty BOARD exams is so wrong on so many levels. Nothing should come at the cost of mental health. I've learned this the hard way, and I don't want anyone else to. I pray for the poor family.
