Hi! To anyone who will read this, I am beginning my journey into writing again. It's been a year since I've picked up a pencil or, stared at a blank screen of nothing. It was frustrating to only focus on college and work. What last year taught me was that I can do anything I want to do as long as I have a plan. I never had a plan. I just did whatever I felt which brought a lot of downfalls. My grades were lower than usual and work stressed me out every time I went. I wasn't happy until I met God once again who taught me patience and the tranquil nature of being at peace. I was always in a rush but I didn't know how to sit down and plan everything out before I execute it (I still am but I'm slowly but surely working through it.)But now, I understand that I have to be patient with myself especially when it comes to writing. I can't force a story in one day and expect millions of people to view and praise me for how great of a writer I am. I have to be patient with myself and figure out who am I doing this for. Am I doing it for my personal satisfaction or the readers demand? I'm doing it for me. I want to be happy with what I create. I also want my supporters happy. Though, it's only the beginning. So, please be patient with me as I muster up the courage to share to you all my creative process. If it's your first time seeing this account, welcome to the beginning. It may not be the best but at least I can say that I did put my all into it.
@milkdud935 OMG! I accidentally deleted your post but I reread it a couple of times so I remember. I'm glad that you are studying something to help you further your faith in God. Also, when you pray, what I was taught is to do was to recite the lord's prayer which is "our father which art in heaven, hallow it be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven, give us this day by day our daily bread and forgive us of our trespasses and forgive those who trespass against us, lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil from things the kingdom, the power and glory forever, amen." after I recite this, I usually begin to talk to God. I start by forgiving myself for anything wrong I did. I start by repenting because that's so important. It's like you're allowing God to cleanse your sins like he did when he died on the cross. After you confess, start to say the things that you are grateful for about him, and you can also begin to ask him of things that you really want in life. If your personally going through something, God can fix it. We can do all things through Christ that strengthens us. Remember that even though he's guiding you step by step, you have to be willing to stay consistent in prayer, or whatever practice you use daily to serve the Lord. Being consistent in your practices can help grow your relationship with Christ. A person I listen to a lot on YouTube described our relationship with Christ as if we were both on a boat. If we sin, we are drifting away. But if we learn to refrain and to resist our temptations, we will float closer to God.
