          Just a quick update—I’ll be disappearing for a little while. Don’t worry, I’m not going on a hiatus!
          
          My finals are coming up soon, and I really want to focus on my studies. I’ll still be writing here and there though, since it’s one of my ways to relax

          Slowly—painfully—she pushed herself to her feet. Her limbs trembled violently, her body barely holding together from the damage.
          
          Still, she stood.
          
          “The feeling of death,” she continued hoarsely. “When you would rather die just to survive.”
          
          Her fingers tightened over the blood-soaked wound on her chest.
          
          “When breathing itself feels like torture.”
          
          She slowly lifted her head.
          
          Her eyes met Reramos’s.
          
          They were hollow.
          
          Dark.
          
          Almost entirely black—like life itself had been stripped away from them.
          
          “When you’d rather cut your own throat,” she whispered coldly, “just to escape the hell of living.”

          Being sick during Ramadan.
          
          Out of all the days.
          Out of all the months.
          My immune system chose this one.
          
          I waited a whole year. A WHOLE YEAR.
          And now I’m here fighting for my life over a fever and a sore throat like this is my villain origin story.
          
          The timing? Immaculate.
          The betrayal? Personal.
          
          Anyway… if I suddenly disappear, just know I lost to a microscopic enemy during the holiest month of the year

          Well, my lovely readers, I didn’t disappear for fun. I’m currently being personally attacked by college life and have exactly ZERO time to write anything. Tests are coming up, deadlines are everywhere, and—because life loves drama—my final exam this semester was moved earlier than planned.
          
          AND GUESS WHAT 
          It’s scheduled for the day right after my birthday.
