I've been teaching middle school ELA for 17 years--pursuing a writing side gig for the last 7. Three completed manuscripts, countless hours of revision, hundreds of query letters, twice signing with and being released from literary agents, priceless feedback from publishing agents...oh my. What a learning experience!
Now? I'm trying a different route, because I just want my stories read.
