The valley lit up as the light of the moon sank to fill it, the very essence of the lunar goddess though talked to the two by feel before touch, and the windy night was accompanied by the skin tares and cracking bones of roaring shifting werewolves.
Pink gums curtained open by drawn back lips housed the bright polished white canines, bared at each other along with piercing Indigo and royal gold glares.
To the human who'd witness this it merely might have looked like two wolves staring each other down, but the sanity was all there, the maddened bearing of mother natures weapons only an attempt to break the morale of one another.
Raphaela launched first, a claw came in speared to her face but the smaller wolf Haila effortlessly stepped aside and elbowed her right in the sternum, heaving a yelp Raphaela backed a step but then Haila's clawed paw snatched her muzzle, and the other claw spiked all five talons into her abdomen.
Raphaela froze, she felt them so long it pierced her defensive layer of muscle and teasingly grazed her intestines agonisingly.
The brown Luna did nothing, she knew it would only take Haila to close either paw now to cause massive damage, one would cave her muzzle in, the other would gore her.
"Again!" Haila roared and threw Raphaela aside.
Flabbergasted she got to her bipedal stance again and rubbed her healing muzzle, ears flattened and canines revealed again.
"I will tell you exactly what I want to do now! I will rip out your spine!" Haila said making Raphaela flinch "Maybe now that you know my exact intention you'll give me a better fight!"
"Quiet!" Raphaela roared charging again.
Haila swung in and around, ducking under an assailing claw, like her sword would have cut with both claws she gouged at Raphaela's ribs in the pass by, found herself fully turned looking at the back, grabbed that tail and kicked hard... The cracks of the blood breaching spine echoed through the mountains along with wails of agony.
