@KellyLee467 it depends on the author. I think she may have a membership fee, I can’t remember. The authors can post their work with different levels of access. Some have mixed content that is free or require memberships. And those memberships vary in price, content access depending on the author’s settings.
A lot of successful authors are publishing previews here on WattPad, and full works on these sites bc of the automated scrapers/bots copying their work from here and posting to pay per chapter/pay to read/scams sites.
For fiction readers, Patreon and Inkitt are legitimate apps/websites that open up access to new, quality content. I really recommend giving the free content a try, especially if you find yourself in a slump or looking for new books/authors to follow.
Both Patreon and Inkitt have advantages for authors such as potential publishing opportunities and control over their work.
Both have better protections to reduce plagiarism and stolen materials. And they have ability to earn more from their writings than from Wattpad.
