I lost my dog to cancer just this Friday. It was such a shock to me, traumatic even, as well as mentally and physically painful since he's my baby boy. I'm crying every night and couldn't sleep, because I can't help but think of him. Mostly, my head is entirely blank, empty, and numb. It's ironic really, since deep inside I'm trying to win a battle from something pulling me down to the depths. It feels like I'm drowning and I'm finding it hard to get back to the surface. But still, I'm trying. Polka is not "just a dog". He's a family member, my soulmate, my best friend, my child. It's really devasting to face the fact that he's now gone. I'm still processing everything. So, I'll take some time off, and deal with this immense grief. I'll see you guys again when I'm feeling better. I love yous! Xoxo
P.s. love your pet deeply, always spend their time with them, hug them, kiss them, spoil them. Because we only have a few chapters with them. But to them, we are their whole world.
