I'm technically a Christian writer. I say technically because while my stories contain religious themes and Christian characters, you won't find that many writers like me.
Why? I'm not afraid to make my characters have hard discussions-and hey, they may even disagree on core theological issues, and they may never resolve those issues-, if a character cusses, that language exists. I'm kind of a Christian writer with an PG-13 rating. I write about real life, but try to do justice to those who may believe in a "higher calling". My novels, however, aren't Christian, my characters just are sometimes.
I'm about woman empowerment, I'm about sports, and I'm about writing about those things realistically. I imagine, somewhere, someone is living out the exact sort of story that I write about.
