Saara Samin was born and raised in a Pakhtun family in Mardan, which is a small town in the Northern province of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa in Pakistan, and currently resides in Abu Dhabi with her family. She is a poet, writer, blogger, researcher and a US State alumnus. Apart from her novel 'In the Mirror', her short stories and poetry has appeared in Prachya Review. In her spare time, she thinks about her siblings, her parents, her pets and imaginary friends, apart from writing poetry and working on finishing her second novel.

As Edgar Allan poe would say ' "From childhood's hour I have not been. As others were, I have not seen. As others saw, I could not awaken. My heart to joy at the same tone. And all I loved, I loved alone" and that made me a poet, a writer, an avid thinker and reader and a lover.

In times invain, of trials and fears
I stood by the edge - slipped,
recovered - firm;
Not by ground but air
