Hi all, well in a fit of Halloween over-enthusiasm, I put Ficketty Feck on Amazon (see https://www.amazon.com/Ficketty-Feck-Scott-Butcher-ebook/dp/B01M8OR9DR/ref=asap_bc?ie=UTF8 ). It has a new pretty cover, and has been updated a bit since being here. 
          
          Anyway, I'm after reviews for Amazon. If anybody would like to give an honest review I can provide a free mobi and pdf copy.  Just message me.

So I had a dream, it was a modest one as far as Wattpad goes. My Wattpad dream was to get enough interest in Ficketty Feck to see if it could do well elsewhere. I didn't want millions of views or even tens of thousands. What I wanted was enough interest to gauge whether people would like the story. That dream came true, after 3 and a half months it managed over 2000 reads and 422 votes. It also managed to capture about 10 really enthusiastic readers. it's very modest, I know. Beyond that, well, I could keep going on Wattpad, but to what end? I could spend months of effort gradually building up reads and votes, but where does it go?
          
          As it happens I have another dream for Ficketty Feck, and that dream goes beyond Wattpad. I've actually finished writing the book and I've begun the polishing and querying process. In a couple of weeks I'll probably take the book down from Wattpad altogether, but for those who were interested in seeing the end PM me and I'll provide you with a pdf.

          Humph, okay here it goes
          
          1) I'm old, I'm over twenty, well, I could be older than that. Okay, I'm over thirty. Well that's not untrue, but I could even be older than that. I'm not admitting to any more though.
          
          2) I live in Canada, where it's cold, northern Ontario.
          
          3) Ontario is bigger than Texas. It takes 2 days to drive across. That's not really a fact about me, I just thought I'd put that out there. Oh, it's faster by dog sleigh.
          
          4) I'm actually Australian, but I hold dual citizenship. So Australian/Canadian.
          
          5) Despite having an avi of a rakish young lass, I'm actually a guy, the picture is the MC of my latest book.
          
          6) I'm a scientist. No it's true! I'm not lying about that one.
          
          7) I have over 100 scientific publications, but it's the fictional ones I like the best.
          
          8) I believe in editing. It's a thing.
          
          9) I believe in line editing. I've seen it happen, I know it exists.
          
          10) I'm not worried by blood. Terribly calm during trauma, calm, cool and collected. I've been tried many times.
          
          11) I have two daughters and a son. They're actually grown up now, but I used to make up stories for them when they were younger.
          
          12) I've been writing since as long as I can remember. I had a short story published in a school paper when I was in Junior High. It was a bit explicit so I was called up to the principle's office to have a bit of a discussion before it was published, it still made it through though.
          
          13) Okay, I think I've been writing for about 40 years, but I'm still learning stuff, even though I have a couple of books published now.

Well, after a marathon writing day, about 8000 words got added to Ficketty Feck. It's finished now. About 15 chapters more have been written ahead of where I'm up to for posting at roughly 57,100 words. I still have to do a bit of polishing and then work out what I'm going to do with it.
