Samuel Frandino graduated from the State University of New York College at New Paltz in 1977. He worked as a theatrical carpenter in New York and Chicago before teaching for eight years in an interdisciplinary program for gifted children. He has written a dozen articles on using theater, art and music as a gateway to academic disciplines and presented on that topic at a convention of the National Association for Gifted Children. He presently teaches art in the public school system in upstate New York.
