Shannon has been writing since she  woke up from a dream when she was twelve years old and just had to write it down. That dream became her first original story and ignited her passion for creative writing.  She loves a good YA Sci-Fi or Fantasy, ESPECIALLY when there's a good love story mixed in and a plot that takes the protagonist through hell. 
She currently works at what she describes as her second dream job (the first being a famous author, of course) and runs a small nonprofit on the side that teaches children how to read and write creatively. 
Her long term goal is to have readers fall in love with her characters and the world that she builds for them.  At a young age, books are what allowed her to take a break from reality and live in fantastical worlds with loveable creatures and loyal sidekicks. It has always amazed her at how words on a page can make you angry, sad, grieve or even fall in love... She wants to create those same magical moments for the readers of her books. 
In 2020 she will finally finish her passion project ASCEND. It has been her baby for several years, going through rough draft after rough draft, plot change, character change, POV change - you name it. She's finally landed on a story that feels right and she's ready to share it with the world.
