          “Wonder what Moody is going to have planned for today,” Draco muttered under his breath.
          I laughed softly, mentally agreeing. Every class seemed to get more challenging, and the material more and more controversial.
          A few moments later, the professor hobbled in from his office, motioning for our things to go back in our bags. “Right then,” the gruff man said after we put away our books, “I’ve had a letter from Professor Lupin about this class. Seems you’ve had a pretty thorough grounding in tackling dark creatures - you’ve covered boggarts, red caps, hinkypunks, grindylows, kappas, and werewolves, is that right?”
          The class nodded in assent, and I saw a few shudder at the memory of some of them.
          “But,” he continued, “you’re behind, very behind, on dealing with curses. So I’m here to bring you up to scratch on what wizards can do to each other. I’ve got one year to teach you how to deal with Dark-”
          “What?” Ron interrupted, leaning forward at his table. “Aren’t you staying?”
          Moody’s eye spun in its metal socket, twisting to land on the redhead, who gulped. He stared at the boy for a moment before giving what looked like a smile.

hey friends! it's been exactly a month since you've seen me here! I've been working on quite a few projects! on my ao3 account! I've launched a jayvik oneshot that's 5k words. I've also been working on a helluva boss 4 piece shortfic. if anyone is interested in reading it here, lmk, and I'll crosspost it! 
          
          as for now, I bring chapter 15 of grim! me and @agc1019 had such a great time writing this one, tons of laughs!

          "Oh, look, the fearless duo," Cressida called out, stepping around the corner with her arms crossed, her tone both amused and sly. "Are we actually bonding here?"
          We both looked at her, and then at each other, and then took a step in opposite directions.
          "Bonding? With him?" I scoffed. "Some of us have taste, and I'm afraid being put in Slytherin has diluted yours." 
          Malfoy rolled his eyes, crossing his arms with a smirk. "Oh, please, Black. I'd say the only one lacking taste here is the one who managed to turn a simple collision into a theatrical display."
          I shot him a glare. "Right, because you have never been dramatic a day in your life. Merlin knows the rest of us are merely humble background characters in the grand saga of Malfoy's life."
          Cressida snorted, clearly amused, and took a step between us, arms folded. "If the two of you are quite done, maybe I can walk to my next class without having to hear the continued... banter."

hey guys and merry christmas. in the spirit of Christmas. @agc2019 & I have got you guys a grim chapter! here's to a great fourth year!

          Zenith went with the Weasleys to Diagon Alley to get their supplies, although we already had ours, and he came back ranting over a run-in with Draco.
          “He’s just such a git, Cressida. How are you friends with him?”
          I rolled my eyes, “What did he say this time?”
          “Nothing! And that’s the problem. It was just this look from across the street. Like he was glaring at me the whole time.”
          “Then what’s the problem?” I sighed exasperatedly.
          He rolled his eyes, “He was just trying to start a fight. To provoke me. I could see it in his eyes.”
          “So you were looking at his eyes?”
          “Yes-” he glared, “No, I could just tell what he was thinking. His eyes always get this look when he’s planning something”
          I hummed, “And you could tell this from across the street?” 
          He groaned as I laughed, “His eyes are very pretty,” I said.
          “Are you sure you’re not dating him?” he demanded.
          “I don’t know, Zenith, am I?”
          “That makes no sense,”
          I shrugged, “Why does it matter so much to you, dear brother?”
          “It doesn’t,” he denied.
          “Sure, Zenith,” I pat his shoulder, “Whatever makes you sleep at night.”
          He glared at me as he walked away, “You know, you can be just as annoying as him. You’re perfect for each other.”
          I laughed as he disappeared from the room. Oh Zenith, you poor boy.
