Hi, lovely people! I just watched the Titanic for the first time! *Sobbs inwardly* They deserved so much better… Unpopular opinion alert! I think that Rose gets WAY too much hate. She promised Jack to keep living! And she did! She lets Jack’s body go, but it was to fulfill his last wish. “I won’t let go” meant something completely different than ‘I won’t leave your dead body and die with you instead of doing what you wanted me to.’ Also, there was enough room on the door, but it didn’t have a high enough weight limit. It couldn’t support them both. I curse whoever wrote this beautiful, tragic masterpiece. Whyyyyy?!
