Hiya :)

If you haven't met me, I am Tess (or Tessie, whichever speaks to you more). I used to be quite active on here back in 2016(?), but the writing died down as I started high school. I made the occasional comeback but never stuck around. 

That hopefully changes today!

I'm back, now debuting in English. For now, I'm only focused on finishing my Percy Jackson story, but I might share some of my other things too.  

When it comes to me myself & I, I'm from Slovakia, but I'm just wrapping up the last year of my Creative Writing degree in the UK. I'm a chronic daydreamer, in love with music and the beautiful lyrics it has to offer.

There is a quote I wanted to originally share with you. It's from a book called Road to Somewhere. It starts with one of the editors telling us how imprisoned she felt by her job till she got up the courage to pursue writing. She talks about watching the birds outside the window and how they followed her when she left. But I don't think I have the right to use it yet. 

The birds, for me, are something I desire too, but unlike her, I  don't have.  Despite being in a creative field, I'm only relearning how to dive back into writing. So, if you guys end up liking my story, please, be patient with me. It might take me longer, but I'm getting there. 

With that, here's a different, earlier quote from the same book, the same chapter, a reminder for me. 

'What's emerging, I see, is a fairly familiar story: the one about the sad would-be writer/artist/singer/actor who sits day after day trapped at a tedious desk, dreaming of creativity/fame/riches. The birds, of course, represent all the slightly embarrassing but pleasantly satisfying clichés that we already know: our wonderful literary heritage; lightness, freedom, flight; somewhere over the rainbow; all that stuff.'

So follow the f*cking birds, Tessie xd Don't be a sad would-be writer.
