          Good luck on the "was" issue! Without seeing the paragraph, I don't have a clean-cut replacement. When I run into that, I try to focus on an actionable verb or rephrase the sentence entirely to change it up.

I have been editing for over two hours now and I have been seeing a pattern with the word 'was' I don't know why, but I have at least 4 in the same paragraph. 
          Does anyone know what else I could use to get away from the word 'was'?

Looks like It is going to be another long day of editing and revising, I came across someone's profile yesterday and they had this link where you can paste your work and it will tell you what is wrong or what not. I didn't pay for the version so it is not everything that I need to know, but just with the free version I have seen a few spots where it still doesn't read right.
          I didn't even know what a sticky sentence was but I do now and will be rewriting that whole sentence :)

I thought I would let you all know that I am still working on Fatal Heart, but that is something new for me so it is taking me longer to get it together. I am doing great with Loving The Boss, I have chapters that I want to add now, but I will try to wait :)
          When would you like to see updates?

I think I have found the female character for Loving The Boss, I am having a harder time finding the perfect guy for this story. This is the fun part though huh :)
          I will be asking for you opinions as soon as I add a few more chapters for you to read, I hope these two stories are coming out right.

There are a start of two books on my profile if anyone would like to read them. They are just the start of them, but I will update once a week in less I have a great week and able to upload twice in one week.
