It's been a couple of months and I'm starting to get the itch again. Despite the grind I found editing DTHM, and the lacklustre reception it has received, I found myself wandering through my list of ideas and expressions and smiling. I had thought that my next project would be to try and finish something that has lain untouched for years, but perhaps I'm going back to the Black Country after all.

Can't believe your book hasn't found readers. I read QPQ ages ago and enjoyed that as well.
A little tougher for mature writers on WP.

Just finished reading Quid pro quo and i have to share my thoughts. If i was challenged to describe this book in three words I would say it was witty, cool and endearing.
As someone who is planning my own novel (might never publish it) I try to keep an eye out for techniques the author is using to get the message across, the style of their writing, what I would change if I was an editor and things of that nature.
While reading this book i truely forgot myself and got swept into the world you built. The characters felt like people, the jokes made me cackle and the climax had me fixed in trance.
I am not sure what I would change about this book because it has such a good balance to it. You wrote about Satchmo's and Edge's past. The build up to the final fight felt earned. Satchmo had a pleasant mix of victories and missteps that made him so real to me.
All in all this is staying in my reading list for life.

Happy New Year everyone!

I've just got back into the swing of things with work, and so I'm also taking stock of what I might write next...

This is also an appeal of an of you who have glanced at Devil Take the Hindmost (250 reads at time of writing this) so far to leave me a bit of feedback, positive or negative. Constructive criticism certainly helps!

I've just published the Author's note for DTHM, complete with pictures and sub-standard history lecture. That completes my time on this story for the foreseeable future, and I'm calling it done. Please do give it a read and let me know what you think. If you have liked either of my other stories, I think you'll find something in it to enjoy. As ever, I welcome comments and feedback!
