Apparently I’ve been on this hell-site for 10 years so congrats me, I didn’t desert even when my friends told me to and I should’ve listened, and the company decided they loved money more than they loved the readers and writers on here! (Can you believe everything on here used to be FREE??)
A lot has happened in the past 10 years and as I sit here scrolling through, just about to go to sleep and then being delayed by at least two hours because I’m too distracted (what’s changed?), I actually thank this damn app and some writers on here for introducing me to shīt that literally defined my teenage years.
I am, of course, talking about that story which was the catalyst of my love of 5SOS. That band introduced me to Green Day, All Time Low, Black Veil Brides in some round-a-bout way etc. and it’s cliche but I really wouldn’t be who I am today without them and many more. The stories on here also brought me solace when I’d finished a show or film and couldn’t deal with the fact that it was over (imbalanced teen emotions, am I right?).
And finally, this god forsaken app brought me a group of some of my favourite humans. Some of them live in different countries and I’ve only ever met one in real life but I know I can go to them with anything and they’ll have decent, level headed answers which are based on fact and logic. I love you guys and if you see this, no you didn’t.
I’d also like to mention the friends I have made in here who have been exclusively on the app and I wanna say I appreciate you too (you know who you are) because you’ve written some of the best The Boys fics I’ve ever read and I really hope you’re doing well bc we haven’t talked in a while and I want you to know you’re awesome. I really hope you keep writing.
And that’s it I guess. My current follower count is 569 and I think that’s a great way to round this out.
